As I was reading throgh the rules the other day, I was struck with the notion that there is more than one way to skin a cat.  so, I made a list of different ways I have seen different games handle various portions of the game.  Here are my musings:

Activation
Dice roll off to claim priority/intiative
Priority  from Lord of the Rings(dice roll based for each turn)
Activation cards from Habitants and Highlanders(a deck of cards with 1,2,or 3 actions per card based upon the quality of your commander)
Card activation from several other historical games(red vs black)
Warmaster orders system
Warpath 1.0
Warpath 2.0

Wounding/Casualties
Wound Caps
Wound counters
Figure removal
Troop rosters

Nerve/Courage/Leadership
Warpath 1.0 Nerve
Warpath 2.0 Nerve
Hellebore's modified Warpath 2.0 Nerve
Ld from WFB and 40K
Courage from LotR and WotR
Historical %/d20 morale checks

Armor Combat
40K 5th ed
40K 6th ed
Flames of War
Warpath 1.0
Warpath 2.0

Those are the ones that popped into my head.  I am not familiar enough with games like AT-43, Infinity, Warmachine to add anything from them.  Are there other methods out there that might add to this version of the rules?  It might be worth discussion.
