Unfortunatly I gotta say that for £24.99 that blows  Undecided

They should have dropped the metal mini and reduced the price to £18.49 or less!

10 figs and two tiles + a small rulebook dont = £25 in my book, especially as I have all the minis in the set in the first place.
I still have my £5 off voucher from DKH (I keep forgetting to use it), and I was looking at using it on this set, trouble is now I dont feel its worth £20 let alone £25.

Ronnie should have at least commissioned a new Dwarf figure if he wanted to use a metal one, that way it would have been easyer to swallow as iter would have been something unique and new to get in the set.

Oh dear.

I knew what was in it, it isn't good value compared to the other two but I bought it anyway. I wish they had thrown a bit more plastic in there. Hopefully the will be more in the fourth one.

Its not the best deal, but it's tough to bring out a boxed game in a store... if it was just Mantic shipping you the bits in a plastic bag, with a PDF I'm sure the costs would be a bit lower.

Having boxed games in stores helps every Mantic fan.

Oh I agree that it's a tough market these days, My point was that theres not a lot in the box for what you pay, as already suggested they could have easily put in more plastic for minimum actual cost, added extra tiles or a new metal mini not the great-but-we-have-already-seen/own-him bezerker lord.

Thr price to contents ratio just dosent balance out for me. And as a mantic fan thats hard for me to say, but I realy do think they dropped the ball on this one. Embarrassed

i'm mantic fan too, I have bought the Green Menace. But this Ancient Grudge is have priced too much for what it had in the box.
Those who would like to get DKH must already have KOW armies.
Like me already have Mhorgoth Rising box set and 1000pts undead army from KOW kickstarter, plus the Green Menace box.
So i have enough figures for that.
1 black & white small rule book, 2 tiles and some extra tokens, with few sprues of plastic mini and a metal mini doesn't justify the RRP of GBP25!  Shocked
Consider a dungeon crawler boardgame set with Green Menace/Dead Rising + Ancient Grudge, the total price is about GBP60. Compare this to FFG's Descent 2nd edition which is also RRP GBP60, the amount and quality of minis, tiles, tokens, rule book and quest book have totally unmatched! That's not yet mentioned the variety of game play experience with the treasure and shop item upgrade, and an narrative campaign.

Well, after a hard decision, i have to let go this Ancient Grudge box unless they will slashed down the price to about GBP15 or repackage it with more values to us.
Luckily now there is good news that the mini rule books are available as pdf download via http://www.wargamevault.com
So I will just get the pdf for Dead Rising & Ancient Grudge later and make my own dungeon tiles and tokens.  Wink
