i have found that the individual models (as in ones with that rules) can make all the differnce in combat once they get around flanks and rear of large units.
i think this is potentially makes them more powerful than they should be...characters should make a nice addition/support to units. Indeed, the idea of large units in large armies does seem to be Mantics sales pitch.
so i was wondering what were people's thoughts about this simple change below?
Individual: Since models with this rule do not have a flank or rear as such, neither do they in turn recieve extra attacks for fighting in the flank or rear of a unit. As individuals they always fight in the same way without the benefits or hinderances of larger formations.
thoughts anyone?

I see what you did there I think you might find this rule has already been thought about

other people have seen the need to discuss this rule? thats good, so its not just me then.
in fairness i have benefitted from this rule when using Twilight kin and a master of death, but yeah as much as i enjoyed the slaughter i caused it did seem a little over the top.
apologies of this had already been discussed elsewhere, but what was the groups consensus (if indeed their was one) about this rule?

Well it stuffs up my Vampire Lord although the 24 attacks he got in a horde's rear arc last night shows how over-powerful it can be so in general it's a sensible move. It makes the Vampire Lord even more overpriced though so that needs fixing. I'll bring that up with Alessio at the invitational.

well i figure that not having a flank or rear is the trade off for not benefitting from attacking in others peoples flank or rear (plus you still benefit in that you can't be counter-charged and pikes and spears don;t work)
put that Vampire on a pegasus though and its game on then, lol, as he isn't individual anymore...plus i think it makes monster mounts actually instill some fear in your opponent...as they should beacuse they're monsters!
