My human army is going to be made up mostly of Warlord Games English Civil War range. I envision my country/city state (not yet decided) to be a regional naval power and to support a trading empire in the manor of the greeks. As such I can only use certain units from the list (those I can find suitable models for). Anyway, here is my list so far:

General on Horse (130pts)
Army Standard Bearer on Horse (35pts)
Army Standard Bearer on Horse (35pts)

2*Pike Phalanx Regiment, Banner, Musician (240pts)
6* Militia Troop (150pts)

Mounted Sergeants Regiment, Banner Musician (150pts)
2* Mounted Scouts, Pistols (140pts)

6* Missile Troop with Arquebuses (300pts)

Total = 1395pts
--------------

I have all of these models already, the Militia represent barbaric mercenaries (celts).
Other units I could take include: Ogres, Cannons, Morters, Organ Guns, Knights and Foot Guard. These would though be metal and more expensive.

My main questions really are: Is this list viable? What would you suggest I add to it to reach 2000 points?

Some artillery pieces might be a good call... also flagellents and an engineer and priest respectively.

looks pretty solid, particularly if you can get some friendly terrain to guard the flanks of the pikes. just watch out if you're fighting someone with lots of units 'cos you might get swamped.

Mounted knights and artillery as I mentioned on Warseer. Plus bulk out the infantry and get more solid blocks of bodies on the ground.

I am not sure flagellants would fit the theme...

Artillery and an engineer sounds like good advice though.

Would the Militia troops be better of as regiments then?

Would only one Knight unit be enough?

EDIT: Do these guys look heavily armoured enough to count as Knights if they had swords instead of pistols obviously, or did I do right putting them in as mounted sergeants? http://www.warlordgames.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/WGP-6-C.png

The horses could do with some barding to make it convincing I think.

One Knight Regiment should do the trick.

Yeah, I'll just buy a box of cuirassiers with my Christmas money for knights then and keep my current guys as mounted sergeants.
