Thought we should start a thread over here as the full contents of FoF and the other £50 sets now been revealed and I reckon the thread on Warseer is soon going to be hijaked by ****ing So for those who haven't had the newsletter, Mantic have now released pictures of the forgefathers. They look like a reuse of the ironwatch sprue with added sci-fi gubbins. Can't tell if I like them as the pic is too clear but I like the ironwatch so will probably end up liking these guys too. EDIT: Sorry Squig but I nicked your picture off the thread on Warseer so everyone can see what I am on about.

Mantic still hasn't come up with the Warpath deal I want. Essentially just the starter set with the two hero figs... Maybe one extra of each warmachine if there are options in their assembly.

Im the only one who dont liked it? I must see them from another angle, but they look exactly like Ironwatch reuses, and whyle in the case of marauders it made sense, in forgefathers, i think it will just scrudge the things up.
I think my option will be the maradures after all my love for dwarves, as i really dont want dwarves who look like IG.
Well, they could at least have re-molded the chainmails right? The cannon and the heavy weapons look incredible, and i will look forward for more power armored dwarves...

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.
No sir, i will not quit 40k, GW had done some nasty things, but the game is still fun. Perhaps, i will quit GW, there is a lot of companies out ther

I thought Nightsword posted that the Forgefathers were not re-using any of the fantasy Dwarfs...but maybe I am wrong!

He posted that they weren't hybrids, as in half-metal, half-plastic.

As I've said elsewhere, the recycling isn't going to bother me I don't think. As I go further and further, the concept bothers me less and less.
I would like to eventually see new models for them, but I realize that may be a ways down the road. I'd be fine with troops based off the Ironwatch, but I do hope we get 2 torso selections.
