I walked onto the show floor at Gen Con and was thrown into demoing the first scenario before I'd read the rulebook.  (We just skipped shooting, which wasn't needed.)  It was really straightforward and a blast.  I'm looking forward to playing more and getting into the loot mechanics and seeing how they affect things.

I was impressed with how differently the orcs and elves fight when compared to the dwarves and undead.  So far, all 4 races have unique feels on the board.  And I loved the Green Rage!  Nothing worse than knowing that your first successful attack is only going to make them tougher to kill.

I agree. We played it at the open day and had a great time.

I picked up a copy of Green Menace at the UK open day. Have played a few games and really enjoy it.

Really like the difference between the two races - makes for some interesting challenges in some of the scenarios (esp. scenario 10, IIRC)

Especially when we don't read the hidden treasure rules properly Wink

You didn't misread them, you just came up with a variant!

Hey guys...

Im thinking about buy the game, specially to "introduce friends" to mantic lore... (gaming group here is very skeptical about KoW over WHFB). There is any place where we can download the rules for free?

No.  The DKH games are mostly about the rules.  (After all, if you play miniatures games, you've got the minis, and you can print or even draw out a simple map.)

So they're not like the tabletop games where the rules are the lure to get you in.

They're worthwhile games though, and very fun.  But I've had better luck converting people by playing KoW.  Even better, get another pair of friends to play two unfamiliar armies on a nearby table while you teach a friend KoW.  That's one of the best ways to display the speed of the game.

Hello  Grin

We haven't shield-bashed in any game yet. I've played 14 games now I think and I don't feel even close to exploring the game thoroughly, so I am very pleased with the replay value of both games.

And Great Ax are f-ing hard!
