Welcome to my new log. I figured it was time, considering i now have an all new hobby room to work with.
My miniatures collection includes a swathe ranging from historical 15mm to sci-fi bitz box specials. I have since reorganized, and I now have a bunch to paint, not all of which is in the first few pictures below.
If anyone watched turn 8 on Beasts of war the other night, I (my mmo name is rakathu) challenged Ronnie Renton (head of mantic games) to a game against my undead. It turns out i had a few more skelletons than I thought, so i have some painting to do.
This log will cover that, and all my painting, but I definatly need encouragment seeing as how much I can procrastinate.
Now, on to the pictures!
And some more:
In true random style, and being totally nothing like any of the WIP miniatures pictured above, i give you an Evil dwarf.
Some more progress! 3 Skeletons painted today, and when I was out I scored another model for my wraith-host and enough samurai bow horsemen to complete my unit to 5 men total.
A liche wielding fell sorcery (and of course a bubbling vial of nastiness) has joined my skelleton's!

WIP Revenants in progress tonight
Real life clouds even the most straight foward painting schedules does't it?
Anywho, I give you the first rank of the "cursed crusade"
The progress continues!
So, building the 60 models i have to build to add to the 19 i a;ready have built to make for a total of 79 figs to paint for my game against ronnie. Add to that basing a bunch more....long days ahead.
Undead is actually my main army. Not all of my collection is pictured as i am endeavoring to get everything to a based, varnished standard before i put up an army shot of the whole thing (I will be putting up an army shot for the force i will take against Ronnie though.)
The Evil dwarf was actually a cast of a model sculpted by a good acquaintance of mine. I did post it because i thought his sculpting deserved a few internet graces.
As for multiple projects, i currently have 4 "collections"
Armies of the machine (mechanicus/40k - mechanicus inspired)
Undead (tomb kings, undead, pieces of bone, etc)
Knights and men of combat (not pictured, mostly my brettonians, but historicals and a original concept race i made myself as well)
Skaven/ratmen. (my first army, love the little blighters)
I also have various other models, but those are my main 4 categories. All other kings of war models are simply pieces i have picked up along the way.
My assigned space for models needed to be painted is already full and i still have some things on sprues! so i have a lot of painting and blog posts to get through yet!
The models within the "cursed crusade" are a mix of reaper and models from Trollforged miniatures. I will also be adding historicals over time. I originally planned the unit as a spirit host type regiment, but alas that has failed to yet materialize within the KoW army lists.
I will be basing most of the undead that are unbased in 1-2 days. It will grind my fortitude down, but it will be worth it.
As to the pace, don't worry, the mummy (zombies) models paint up extraordinarily quick, and i'm not painting all 40 skeletons, only the ones i can equip with spears, and i'll make up the balance with those i already have painted until i get back and can reorganize everything.
Video log 1 is up. Enjoy and feel free to comment:
