So, I guess this introduces a new type/size of unit to the game.  It also opens up the board for swarms from other forces, like Pit Dogs and Saber toothed **** cats.

40 or 50mm bases?

Orcling hordes anyone...

Need a name for something bigger than a horde.

Orcling flashmob?

50mm bases I reckon.

I've been planning on modelling dog swarms for the dwarves eventually anyway.  Bring 'em on, I say! Smiley

I made two bases of Orcling Swarms on 50mm X 25mm by simply sticking two unused Orc infantry bases together on some card. Or I could have just bought some more cavalry bases instead from Renedra instead  Roll Eyes

I'm thinking they'll be 40mm, to be compatible with warhammer.

Do they need to be compatible with Warhamster? If people want to use them for 'That Other Game' then they'll stick them to whatver bases they want.

From the pictures it looks as though they're on cavalry bases turned round (Not that I have any cavalry bases to check, but they seem quite rectangular.

Interested to see what the rules for swarms will be like.

Looks like they're on the (presumably 40mm) square base that the "gorelord" is on

100% of mantic releases so far have been compatible, as much as I like KoW, it's best not to be under any illusions that the vast majority of mantic's sales go to warhammer players.

If I want a pick-up game, it's not going to be KoW, I'm the only person I know in my area who really likes it enough to play a big-sized game on a regular basis. Whereas there are dozens of warhammer players. Mantic are still *tiny* in comparison, and they will be for at least another couple of years.

I guess you are indeed right Scarletsquig on the Warhammer front.

I still think from that picture the bases look a little rectangular - I don't know, maybe it's just the angle?

Are they planning on releasing actual blisters of the little guys or are we meant to just make em up from the orclings we get on our various sprues?
I hope they release some more sculpts. They are awesome!

Mantic means us to use the little blighters* from the various orcs sprues.

*Blighters. That's correct isn't it? That's a word British type people use right?

Blighters, or buggers or bastards.

Gaarew might be able to provide a more comprehensive list of obscenities if you'd like to know more.

Maybe if they are a member of the Royal Family...
