There's now some nice pics of the assembled models and the sprue online here:

Looks really good, I'll be getting a couple of boxes for KoW. Mantic's models are quite nice, but the price of £14 for 5 is too high for me to consider buying a unit of them.

I think they look great from the waist up, so I ordered a couple of boxes to use in my dwarf army... despite already having two boxes of the metal Mantic Berserker Command (might just use them with my Abyssal Berserkers...)  Roll Eyes

Pretty good for Dwarfs. Looks like a very well designed unit/sprue. AoW really do make some very nice stuff.

I have 2 boxes on pre-order.  Figured they might scale well with the Mantic plastics.

Not that I need them as I think I have 40 Mantic Dwarf Berserkers awaiting paintage...

Still, something else to keep me out of trouble.  Except with Mrs G of course.

I don't like them at all. I think they look far too comical, out of proportion and silly.

I'll have to see if anyone has these in-the-flesh at Gen Con.  Right now, the pictures seem to show my same two bugaboos with Felix's work:  the overly-thick, cartoony weapons and the odd things that happen with his arm anatomy.  Maybe it won't be as off-putting in person.

His surface detail though is amazing, and the sheer amount of work he put into making a versatile unit is impressive.  I really wish I liked them more, because I think he should be encouraged.

Firstly I will say I think AOW does some really fine work, and I'm glad to see them branching out into plastics. The only AOW minis I own are a couple of their minotaurs, and those are very nice

When these berserkers were first announced I was kinda excited, as the slayers were the one modern era GW dwarf unit I liked. Mostly I prefered GW's older style dwarfs and characters. However now with the weapons added and seeing them pictured in a group, these AOW dwarfs just look too over the top for me. I much prefer Mantics Dwarf Berserkers with the Abyssal Dwarf Berserkers thrown in for variety.

Just had 40 of these guys delivered. They don't look too bad next to mantic models. About the right size. Weapons definately need some swapping but they'll be easy enough to convert. Beards are too big. But they are lovely sculpts, and they fit in at least as well as the mantic bezerkers in my opinion.

Overall I'm a little devided on these mini's. The sculpts are amazing but I think I'm becoming conditioned to true scale now, and they're a little OTT. Can't argue with the price though.

Agree on the scale, but it's really only the weapons which are an issue, mantic dwarfs are pretty chunky already.

I'll be doing weapons swaps to tone down some of the axe heads.

Sorry for the threadnomancy but does anyone have photo's of these slayers with less bulky weapons?

I have the models, haven't gotten around to taking them off the sprue, though... they will definitely need a lot of conversion work to fit in, none of the weapons are remotely close in scale to the weapons on GW models, never mind mantic's.

I'm also glad the hairstyles and most of the titanic-sized banner are seperate pieces, those are all getting left off.
