During my time in the hobby I have always collected and painted armies, but I see KOW and its rules as the perfect way to start actually playing with the armies I have. The combination of a smaller, tighter ruleset intended for bigger but quicker games appeals to me.

Here is my 3000 point Undead list, all is painted and based with the exception of half a Revenant Regiment, a Ghoul regiment and the Revenant Cavalry Regiment.

Please let me know if this is playable/likely to be effective/have I got enough (or too many) characters etc as I really have little clue.

3000 Point Undead List

Characters:

Mhorgoth 350pts
Vampire Lord On Pegasus: 330pts.
Revenant King: 120pts
Liche King:180pts
Necromancer:110pts
Standard Bearer: 25pts     (Characters 1115pts).

Skeleton Horde, spears, dogs, banner, musician :270pts.
Skeleton Regiment, banner, musician :105pts
Skeleton Troop: 45pts
Skeleton Troop (archers): 45pts

Revenant Horde, banner, musician:235pts.
Revenant Regiment, banner, musician:130pts.

Zombie Horde:170pts.
Zombie Regiment:90ts.

Wraiths: 125pts.

Ghoul Regiment: 80pts
Ghoul Regiment 80pts.

Revenant Cavalry Regiment, banner, musician:185pts
Revenant Cavalry Troop, banner, musican:105pts.

3 Balefire Catapults:210pts

Equals 2990pts.

This is certainly not the end of this army, and I plan to add more Wraiths to it certainly. But any thoughts?

certainly going to look scary on the table. The legality of it rather depends on how you read the wording of the rules on picking your army - I read it as only one character or warmachine per solid block of infantry (20+), but then again, there's an Orc playtest battlereport linked off the Mantic Blog that violates this rule as well... Meh, I wouldn't mind too much if you were playing me, anyway.

Play it a few times, then you'll see what, if anything, needs changing.

I read it as one character and one warmachine per solid cavalry or infantry unit.

This is correct.

Yes, Gaar cleared that up for me in another army list thread. Here it is irrelevant though as I have 6 characters and 3 Balefires for a total of 9 and also 9 solid units ( Skel horde, reg, Rev horde, reg, Zombie horde, reg, 2 Ghoul regiments and the Revenant Cavalry regiment).

cool! Suits me fine Smiley I think I must have read an older version that said that Cav didn't count or something, which is why I queried it. D'oh!
