I figured I'd post pictures of my army in it's own thread for the ease of checking it out and perhaps for inspiration. I hope to see many others post pictures of their armies here, and i plant to get some of my Roman army pictures together soon as well. In the mean time... note that all of the designs are free-hand painted; no decals here!

My Viking king tells his Vikings where to go. This is an old Gripping Beast Jomsviking figure, and it makes a great Swedish Viking King.

My Viking Jarl or Chief. This is from the new GB plastic set.

Army standard bearer. Hand-painted shield, this figure is from Old Glory; It' just one I had laying around.

The three regiments of Vikings all formed up.

Regiment of Hirdmen

Regiment of Hirdmen

Regiment of Hirdmen

Half-troop of Dane axe men

Half-troop of berzerkers

That's it for now! It comes in at a total of 1235 points.

Thanks
n.

My gaming buddy Mark (marlowe) has used the Warlord Celts as a counts as Lizardman army for WHFB, with the new O&G Arachnarok Spiders as Stegadons.  I'll annoy him to post up some pictures, it looks sweet.

Excellent stuff as always N.  If I hadn't spent the entire weekend spewing, I'd be pretty green by now.   Grin

Neldoreth, have you seen the latest warlord newsletter? They are releasing berzerker infantry in a bunch of leaping/fighting poses.

Your painting is superb! It's very inspiring to see! I couldn't do as well if you gave me a week per model, I don't have the technique or talent, yet, I find your photos as exciting and thrilling as an epic mural or movie still.  Though I am not using diorama bases, your army units pics have encouraged me to mount my models on unit bases instead of loose on trays, and I'm very pleased.

I always enjoy seeing newly painted units from you neldoreth, because you do them to a very high and creative standard. Well done.
