Anybody seen/got there paws on these yet? http://www.splinteredlightminis.com/index.htmlI'm rather taken with some of them, and had considered doing some all metal forces for Battlelore (but that's another story), and am definately interested in picking some up, probably the Gnomes or Cave Imps, although, the Undead are also tempting. Hell, I imagine it would be easy to do an Epic Kings of War army, just by halving the unit footprints, or a standard army of midgets, which might not be an issue for Gnomes, Imps or anthropomorphic animals.

I have some SLM Dark Elves and they are probably the best 15mm miniatures I have ever seen - the detail is amazing.
When I eventually get round to painting them I might put some pictures online.

Just took a looks through the site and really like the looks of the Orc and Goblins and thought "would it be difficult to convert KoW to 15mm?" Would it just be a scale change and keeping everything the same?

Yes I think it would be that easy. I did the same ages back for WHFB in 15mm. We just halved everything (or you could change to cm instead and then not have to change any stats (so 24" becomes 24cm).
All we had to do for 15mm WHFB was make half-sized templates but there are no issues like that in KoW.

I reckon you might just get away with doing them as a standard KoW army, keeping the footprint the same. Nothing would strike fear in to the heart of an opposing general to see a horde of gnomes charging through a flowerbed of begonias... Hmmm, so tempted now, but promised Mrs. G that I would only use the proceeds from selling old minis to fund a Gnome army...

Well, they are about 50% bigger...
The Dragons and Giants shouldn't be an issue though.

Maybe she'd make an exception, as long as the army had some "gnome giant" models and you promised to paint them nicely and put them the garden when you're done...

Actually, just to reinforce the penny-pinching stereotype of the Scots, she was OK with me ordering them last month seeing as they had a 20% off sale. Picked up the Gnome and Cave Imp army packs, as well as some Snails and Gnogres. Very tempted to do a Gnome army for KoW now.
