Damn it! I guess I have to get the Backstage BoW next moth to get the rules... It sounds to good to be true... Question is: Well, I have Orks. What to use for the Forgefathers? Just some tinkering with GW weapons and KoW dwarfs? Useing Fantasy-Minis? Marines?

The Games Room / Army Lists / Re: 1000 point undead list

I'll try some 1000pt. Undead this weekend:
Seleton Horde (Banner, Musican, Rats, Phallanx).......270 pts Revenant Regiment (Banner, Musican).......................130 pts Zombie Horde.............................................................170 pts Revenant Cavalry Regiment (Banner, Musican)..........185 pts Ghoul Troop..................................................................45 pts Liche King...................................................................180 pts Army Standard.............................................................25 pts (it's 5 to much, I know. but we don't care aoubt 5 pts - maybe, net time its 15 less...)
Cons: no ranged combat, just one model with dark surge, just one unit for guarding my flanks Pros: looks inpressive. 142 modells.
I'd like to add a balefire catapult, but I don't own one. Maybe getting my gobbo catapult, and giving it a skeleton crew. But were to get the points from?
My opposition will be Lizzardmen.

Kings of War / Game Rules / Re: Unit footprint vs Terrain features?

Well - most of my terrain has no problems with 125mm Regiments - but the 200 and 250mm are problematic. A simple solution would be something like this: 1) If you get strucked in a Place (i.e. a bridge), put the unit's champion to the position were he would be, if there was no obstacle. 2) If you charge form this positon, you are in hindering terrain (-1 to hit, as usual). 3) You can not move "at double" until your unit has left the terrain completly. 4) If you are charged, your defence is down one point (so 5+ is 4+, 4+ is 3+...) and you are considderd to be at the positon were your regiment should be and were you have left it (the unit is a bit split up...) A - Postion were the unit is struck B - Position, were the unit wants to get to (The black block is the champion) The grey area is were the unit is attackable - the river is not to be moved over.

I like the idea of 2250 Points. This gives you access so a big force - many regiments, you can play hordes without having to few units on the table (does anyone play Zombies below hordes? shame on you! ), and the highpowered Models like Morgoth or a Elfen Lord on his Lizzard don't dominate the geme to much. Most games are at 1000pt. at this time, because most of us owned 2000pt. WHFB-Armies (we startet playing again after the intro of the current editon of WHFB; I'm the only one with older armies) - and they brake down to around 1000pt. KoW...

Ma mixed anthropromorphic animals list would be fine -
I'm not sure 4 turtles and a rat would be a viable list... Looks like another idea for these 500pt. merc lists, don't you think?

Kings of War / Undead / Re: Undead Giant???

How about using 2 gigants, each on 75 x 50mm bases as a revenant cavalry troop? or on 75 x 100mm for a regiment? More like a gang of undeath gigants? I'm thinking about this at the moment... Or just plug him into a fitting Regiment with the phalanx-rule. No special rules needed, and looks cool...

The Chosens At are somewhat funny... they look far too low! At7 for (5), At7 für (10) and At 14 for (20). The Hellsplitter should add a close-combat-profile - it should be more like a dragon without flying and s low Sp.
