I have two unopened movement tray sets and one started one. I bought them last year for making new KoW movement trays and haven't got round to it yet. I'm glad I bought them when they were still reasonably priced.
These are not spin cast resin plastic they are injection molded plastic. The plastic used is not the hard styrene that GW (and Mactic etc) use but is slightly flexible. Its the same stuff that thay have been using for their pre-painted range for some time, just without the pre-paint.
From the video they seem to take paint well and the price per model is great. These look great for D&D and skirmish games but the lack of poses would put me off using them for a large scale wargame.
Still trying to get over the disappointment of not being able to get to the invitational at the weekend but I might have found a way of getting over it. If I can't get to the tournament, bring the tournament to me!
Who might be interested in attending a KoW tournament in Stockport some time after the new version of the rules is released?
Also, what would people refer - a one day or a two day tournament?
Some of their models are more or less designed to work with 40k e.g. the Iron Grumbler and the Scrap Tank.
The resin took paint well and was easy enough to assemble with a bit of trimming and cleaning up. Ramshackle's vehicles are all sculpted to look a bit rough and beaten up so any imperfections will just become part of the model. I used two part epoxy glue to put mine together which seemed to work well.
At some point in the future I think I'll puck up some of their dungers to use as Mangler squigs in my orc army.
The model is bigger than I expected - i had hoped to mount it on a GW Chariot base (50x100mm) but it was too big so I had to make a base for it myself.
