And also ranting about people ranting about why no-one has received their kickstarter stuff yet, only two days after the Kickstarter survey deadline.

Hmm. I still think my favorite rant was from a week or two ago, maybe more, where the poster was complaining and asking why the new rules hadn't been playtested so Mantic could get some feedback before printing the new book.

I actually wanted to hit him with the rock that he had been living under for the past 2 years.

I've no idea what this thread is actually about anymore, but I'll allow it.

We all need a place to vent every now and then that is off of Mantics official forum.

That's the downside of getting more popular. Yes you get more fans, but you also get more whiners, more detractors, more werewolf armies...

Well your post is certainly interesting, mostly cause I'm from Greater Vancouver too. You're the first local besides myself I've seen posting.

I'm guessing the store you're talking about is Imperial Hobbies? I don't know of any others carrying Mantic stock instore. It's a great store, one of my favourites, but they are a bit cramped for gaming space. Have you ever been out to Gamestars in Langley? I've spoken with them and they are open to Kings of War Demo games. I haven't done it myself yet for two reasons.

1/ I've never had an opponent.

2/Despite being a Mantic Fanatic/customer for almost 3 years now... I've never actually played a game. I'm mostly a painter/collector these days and even that, as gaarew will be only too eager to tell you, I do VERY slowly. So far, I only have some of my Elven units painted up and am part way through my Dwarfs.

Anyway, once the new rules come out, I'd be interested in learning them. If you're into it, we could meet up at one of the stores.

it's also a very friendly place. The only thing is, once you register there, it requires an Admin to approve you before you can post. From past experience, that might not happen over the weekend but give it a try anyway.

No problem. It's a pretty busy forum and you'll see a lot of familiar names posting. You'll also see a number of familiar names are the Mods there too. 

I did just try looking for you there with my Mod powers, but you need an Admin to activate your account. Is your user name still going to be Hybrid Alpha? Cause I'll post a heads-up for them to get moving on it.

And I did take the liberty of posting your pics of your winged elves over on the forums a while ago. Several people were interested, so you're already kind of known.

It's been a bit quiet around here since the new official Mantic forums opened up, but there's a number of names you'll find familiar who still check in here regularly.

Mantic will be releasing an updated and revised set of rules for Warpath later this year. You might want to wait for that and grab a copy.

I wish I could have pledged more. Looking forward to seeing what you're able to do with the funds that you raise.

It's an odd time for them to start a Mantic forum, considering the general drop in traffic on all the other Mantic forums since the new official one went live.

I'm not overly enthused to take part on a forum I have usually found to be rather negative in the past.

Yes I realize that statement is ironic coming from someone who posts on Warseer, but better "the devil you know" and all that.

Unfortunately new memberships on the new Official Mantic Forums can take a while to activate. Several days is not unusual. If you have a lengthier delay than that, let me know so I can inform the Admins there.

Same is true for anyone else here having problems getting their membership confirmed. I know there's been a few Fanatics here that have had problems registering. Let me know the details and I will pass the info along for you.
