Also, I can neither confirm nor deny the rumour that I may have ordered a few Reaper Bones figures to see what they are like...

**** you Darsc.   Tongue

They are like little rays of sunshine lighting up a slightly flexible rainbow... Grin

And you're welcome!  Kiss

Hey Darsc.. you know those non-human Undead models you wanted to see, the ones that could murder your wallet if you were ever made aware of them?

:p

I'm not looking.
I'm not looking.
I'm not looking...
Embarrassed

I ended up ordering 3 of the trolls.

Enough for a unit in KoW.

Oh Crap!

Just when The Dwarf kickstarter was ending, and I thought I could give my wallet a break for a while, those fuckers at Reaper go and start a new Kickstarter for their Bones line.

67 minis for $100, at that's before any stretch goals have even been met.

Those fuckers!

So gaarew... What did you pledge for?
 Grin

2... Or thereabouts. Grin

@gaarew. Friends shouldn't ask friends those kind of questions. Wink

@Robert. I suspect that before that troll is done, we might see some familiar looking trophies hanging from it's belt. Grin

Going into the final stretch now. Best place your pledges.

Back when I first got into wargaming, we used to make our own movement trays from scratch. Heck, I even used to cut individual mini bases from poster board, carefully measuring and cutting and measuring and cutting and...

Nowadays I like simplier premeasured easily cut trays. Something that is quickly glued and job done.

I absolutely love TableTop Worlds buildings, although their price means I only have their Merchants House and the Covered Well along with some accessories. Still unassembled and unpainted of course, as if anyone needed to ask. Wink

This building seems very reasonable compared to their other offerings, but Kickstarter has kicked the **** out of my hobby budget for pretty much the rest of the year.

Still, this building will be going on the list of most wanted. Grin

I've been buying a package of their movement trays here and there myself, so I do have a few put away. Not sure I have enough for everything I've currently got, pretty sure I don't,  and definately won't have enough for when the Kickstarter stuff starts to arrive.

I really wish Mantic and/or Renendra would come up with something similar at a reasonable cost. I think it would sell quite well. I like the modular design and had plans to use it in other projects, but a 65% price increase is ridiculous.

I'm afraid to go look at the GW site. How bad is the price increase?

Hey Kids!!! Who here likes Dwarven miniatures?  Cheesy

And who here is going through Kickstarter withdrawl?  Grin

Well do I have the Kickstarter for YOU!  Shocked

A set of Dwarven Adventurers from Stonehaven Miniatures , which happens to scale very well with Mantics Dwarfs.

Plus just some of the concept art.

And yes, I will be flogging this on the Mantic official forums as well. Wink

I think from judgedoug's last couple of posts and his use of the  Grin smiley Grin, he now gets what the Fanatics are about and should fit right in. Its very nice that you've stood up for him, but I don't think it's needed.

Plus as Llew has said, the environment here and that of Mantics official forums are two quite different things, even though many of the names are the same. While we're all serious business on the official site, here we're definately not. Nowadays, with the revamping of Mantics official site, most serious game talk has drifted away from here to there, leaving the Fanatics as much more of a social club.

So... Best not to take anything said on the Fanatics to heart. If we did, we'd have to ban the founding Administrator. Grin

I think you'll find the correct term is "coerced with a bucket of deep fried chicken:Y.     Grin

 Shocked

What do they threaten to do to you with the bucket?  Huh
15  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Perhaps on: July 16, 2012, 02:36:11 am
I've long suspected that Chris is the real power behind the throne at Mantic Towers. Wink

If we're starting a discussion about pants vs shorts, then I'm voting shorts.
