would you be best doing 0-9 in two colours for tens/units?

do units get automatically taken off if they hit their nerve? or can you get insane courage snake-eyes?

I'm currently building and painting a Elf army and have a Undead one slowly building up, looking forward to the new rule book and finally getting a game against someone, once I'm painted up.
