Hi All Smiley just a very quick one.

I fancied an unusual tomb king to go with my tomb queen, also to stand in as a Revenant king in mantic Smiley

Looking forward to painting him! Cheesy

Another small update Smiley

My personal general in both mantic and warhammer: Anethema (Revenant King / Khalida)

Needed two more skeletons for the hand weapon and shield unit, so converted a couple of zombies with Skeleton warrior/GW Skeleton bits Smiley

Next unit to be painted (plus another 10 spear men)

That'll be all the basic skeletons I have done! Then its onto to the revenants Cheesy

OK update for the last day of January Cheesy well, i got stuck in, and in 2 days painting got 40 skelletons done! Tongue well pleased with that.

Skeletons with Bows

mores skeletons with bows

Skeletons with spears

GW vampire counts skeletons (with Tomb Kings shields from chariot sprue) with spears.

First off apologies for the awful flash! I'll get better phots when my basing medium arrives (Vallejo sand - lazy good!).

I was going to pick up a box of tomb kings skeletons, but they look so cartoony and chunky next to the mantic ones, that I changed my mind. THen I saw the vampire counts skeletongs, and boy are those so much better!!! best of all, almost all the armour, helmeted heads etc. are completely optional, and you can make them as simple (i.e. easy to paint) as you like!!

I'll definately grab another box (after I finish painting all the mantic stuff! Tongue)

13  Kings of War / Undead / Re: Undead Giant??? on: January 27, 2011, 01:33:55 am
Hi there Smiley

On double checking its grosser than Ghould Queen, its 'Corpse Mother'

"By far the worst of their kind are the corpse mothers, bloated brood mares who rule the ghoul clans with fists of iron" pg13

Its open to interpretation, but the way I envision their society is a bit likt naked mole rats, with a larger more powerful 'queen' who controls all behaviour, is dominant, and is the only 'breeder'.

True Cheesy

Yes your quite right Smiley the bows are pretty basic (thinking of adding 'string' using fuse wire...

I'm going to stick on all the spare swords (in fairly obvious places) as well, or to be honest, after reading the rules a bit bit more, I really like bowmen, and may just keep them as that!!

(perhaps adding them to back ranks of warrior units to create hordes when neccessary?)
