Title: Up to what size game on a 4x4 table? Post by: Nathaniel on December 11, 2011, 06:43:39 am The local shop that gets Mantic stuff in some times is mostly dominated by Warmachine (which I also play). Warmachine is played a 4x4 table, so their tables are mostly 4x4.
Up to what points value could one realistically play on 4x4 and still have the same degree of tactical movement and footprint as a larger game played on a 6x4? I know my 10 Werewolf Troop Undead (1500pts) can, if deployed side by side, pretty much cover the length of a 6ft table. It would also depend on how many units/hordes you had. Probably somewhere between 1000-1200 points I reckon. 1500 might work, but, again, your army build will determine how feasible that is. Title: Re: Up to what size game on a 4x4 table? In fact, the speed of the game is a good selling point sometimes (c'mon, it'll only take half an hour!). Title: Re: Up to what size game on a 4x4 table? I'm going to start demoing the game locally once my 500 of two armies is painted up. I've heard that having a couple horde sized units really brings the game into it's proper scope and that's quite doable at 1000. |
